O you who believe! The polytheists are polluted, so let them not approach the Sacred Mosque after this year of theirs. And if you fear poverty, Allah will enrich you from His grace, if He wills. Allah is Aware and Wise.

EnglishPickthall, 1930

O ye who believe! The idolaters only are unclean. So let them not come near the Inviolable Place of Worship after this their year. If ye fear poverty (from the loss of their merchandise) Allah shall preserve you of His bounty if He will. Lo! Allah is Knower, Wise.

TurkishElmalılı Hamdi Yazır, 1935

Ey o bütün iyman edenler, müşrikler bir pislikten ıbarettirler, artık bu yıllarından sonra Mescidi harama yaklaşmasınlar eğer yoksulluktan korkarsanız Allah sizi fadlından zenginleştirecektir inşaallah, her halde Allah alîmdir hakîmdir

FrenchKazimirski, 1840

O croyants !

ItalianCalza, 1847, from Kazimirski's French

O credenti! quei che associano (altre divinità a Dio) sono immondi; do po spirato quest’anno, non devono avvicinarsi all’Oratorio Sacro. Se temete coi tesori sua e sapiente.
