Quran 63:4

When you see them, their appearance impresses you. And when they speak, you listen to what they say. They are like propped-up timber. They think every shout is aimed at them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. Allah condemns them; how deluded they are!

And when thou seest them their figures please thee; and if they speak thou givest ear unto their speech. (They are) as though they were blocks of wood in striped cloaks. They deem every shout to be against them. They are the enemy, so beware of them. Allah confound them! How they are perverted!

Sen onları gördüğün vakıt cisimleri tuhafına gider ve söylerlerse dediklerine kulak verirsin, sanki «Huşubi müsennede» dayanmış keresteler gibidirler, her sayhayı sanırlar ki aleyhlerindedir, onlar düşmandırlar, onun için onlardan sakın, onları Allah gebertsin nereden çevriliyorlar.

Quand tu les vois, leur extérieur te plait ; quand ils parlent, tu les écoutes volontiers ; ils sont comme des soliveaux appuyés contre la muraille ; qu’ils entendent un cri ils croient que c’est contre eux. Ce sont tes ennemis. Évite-les. Que Dieu leur fasse la guerre ! Qu’ils sont faux !

Indien gij hen beschouwt, zal hun uiterlijk u behagen, en als zij spreken, hoort gij hunne taal met genoegen. Zij gelijken op stukken van balken, die tegen een muur zijn geplaatst. Zij gelooven dat iedere kreet tegen hen gericht is. Zij zijne uwe vijanden; neemt u dus voor hen in acht; God vloekt hen. Hoezeer zijn zij van de waarheid afgewend.

Quando tu li vedi, il loro esteriore ti piace; quando parlano, tu li ascolti volentieri; sono come travicelli appoggiati al muro; se si farà sentire il menomo romore, crederanno che sia diretto contro loro. Sono tuoi nemici. Evitali. Dio li estermini. Quanto sono falsi!
