Quran 17:12

We have made the night and the day two wonders. We erased the wonder of the night, and made the wonder of the day revealing, that you may seek bounty from your Lord, and know the number of years, and the calculation. We have explained all things in detail.

And We appoint the night and the day two portents. Then We make dark the portent of the night, and We make the portent of the day sight-giving, that ye may seek bounty from your Lord, and that ye may know the computation of the years, and the reckoning; and everything have We expounded with a clear expounding.

Halbuki biz geceyi, gündüzü iki âyet yaptık, sonra gece âyetini mahvettik ve gündüz âyetini gösterici gıldık ki rabbınızdan fadıl taleb etmiş te etmişiz

Nous fîmes de la nuit et du jour deux signes de notre puissance. Nous effaçâmes le signe de la nuit, et nous rendîmes visible celui du jour, afin que vous cherchiez à obtenir des bienfaits de la générosité de Dieu, afin que vous connaissiez le nombre des années et leur comput. Nous avons introduit la distinction parfaite dans toutes choses.

Wij hebben den nacht en den dag bevolen, als twee teekens van onze macht; daarna bluschten wij het teeken van den nacht uit, en wij deden het teeken van den dag voortschijnen, opdat gij zoudt trachten, weldaden van uwen Heer te verkrijgen door het vervullen uwer plichten, en opdat gij het getal jaren en de berekening van den tijd zoudt kennen, en wij hebben iedere noodige zaak door eene duidelijke uitlegging verklaard.

Abbiamo fatto della notte e del giorno due segni della nostra potenza. Cancellammo il segno della notte, e si rese visibile quello del giorno, affinchè cercaste di ottenere i benefizi della generosità di Dio, affinchè conosceste il numero degli anni, ed il loro conto. Abbiamo introdotta la distinzione perfetta tra ogni cosa.
