Quran 12:80

And when they despaired of him, they conferred privately. Their eldest said, “Don’t you know that your father received a pledge from you before Allah, and in the past you failed with regard to Joseph? I will not leave this land until my father permits me, or Allah decides for me; for He is the Best of deciders.”

So, When they despaired of (moving) him, they conferred together apart. The eldest of them said: Know ye not how your father took an undertaking from you in Allah's name and how ye failed in the case of Joseph aforetime? Therefore I shall not go forth from the land until my father giveth leave or Allah judgeth for me. He is the Best of Judges.

Vaktâ ki ondan ümidi kestiler, fısıldayarak çekildiler, büyükleri dedi ki: babanızın aleyhinizde Allahdan mîsak almış olduğunu, bundan evvel de Yusüf hakkında ettiğiniz kusuru biliyor musunuz? Artık ben buradan ayrılmam tâ babam bana izin verinceye veya Allah hakkımda bir huküm ta'yin edinceye kadar ki o Hayrül'kamîndir

Quand ils eurent désespéré du succès de leurs demandes, ils se retirèrent pour se consulter. Le plus âgé d’eux dit : Ne savez-vous pas que votre père a reçu de vous une promesse faite devant Dieu ? Ne vous rappelez-vous pas quel crime vous avez commis à l’égard de Joseph ? Je ne quitterai pas le pays que mon père ne me l’ait permis, ou que Dieu ne m’ait manifesté ses ordres, car il est le meilleur des juges.

En toen zij wanhoopten, Benjamin terug te krijgen, verwijderden zij zich om afzonderlijk met elkander te beraadslagen. En de oudste van hen zeide: Weet gij niet dat uw vader eene plechtige belofte van u heeft ontvangen, in den naam van God, en hoe bedriegelijk gij vroeger omtrent Jozef hebt gehandeld? Ik zal dus op geenerlei wijze het land Egypte verlaten, tot mijn vader mij verlof geeft, tot hem terug te keeren, of dat God mij zijnen wil bekend maakt; want hij is de beste rechter.

Quando non gli restava più speranza sulle loro preghiere, si ritirarono per consultarsi. Quello più avanzato in età disse: Non sapete che nostro padre ha ricevuto da noi una promessa fatta innanzi a Dio? Non vi rammentate qual delitto avete commesso sul conto di Giuseppe? Io non partirò da questo paese finchè mio padre non mel permetta, o che Dio non m’abbia manifestati i suoi ordini, giacchè egli è il migliore de’ giudici.
