Quran 9:81

Those who stayed behind rejoiced at their staying behind the Messenger of Allah. And they hated to strive with their wealth and their lives in Allah’s way. And they said, “Do not venture out in the heat.” Say, “The Fire of Hell is much hotter, if they only understood.”

Those who were left behind rejoiced at sitting still behind the messenger of Allah, and were averse to striving with their wealth and their lives in Allah's way. And they said: Go not forth in the heat! Say: The fire of hell is more intense of heat, if they but understood.

Arkada kalanlar Resulullah hılâfına olarak oturub kalmalariyle ferahlandılar, Allah yolunda mallariyle, canlariyle mücahid olmayı hoşlanmadılar, bu sıcakta seferber olmayın dediler, de ki Cehennem ateşi daha sıcak, fakat duysalardı

Ceux qui restèrent dans leurs foyers à l’époque de l’expédition de Tabouk, étaient enchantés de rester en arrière du prophète ; il leur répugnait de combattre dans le sentier de Dieu avec leurs biens et leurs personnes. Ils disaient : Les une aux autres, n’allez pas à la guerre pendant ces chaleurs. Dis-leur : La chaleur du feu de la géhenne est plus brulante encore. Ah ! S’ils le comprenaient !

Zij die bij de expeditie van Taboec te huis bleven, waren verblijd achter den profeet te blijven, en ongeneigd hunne bezittingen en hunne personen te wagen voor den vooruitgang van Gods waren godsdienst, en zij zeiden onderling: Trek niet in de hitte op. Zeg: het hellevuur zal heeter zijn; indien zij dit maar begrepen!

Coloro che restarono nelle loro case (alla spedizione di Tabuk) erano contenti di restare indietro al profeta; repugnava loro di combattere nel sentiero di Dio coi loro beni, e colle loro persone. Dicevano: Non andate alla guerra con questo caldo. Di’ loro: Il caldo del fuoco dell’inferno è più ardente. Ah! se lo comprendessero!
