Quran 38:26

“O David, We made you a ruler in the land, so judge between the people with justice, and do not follow desire, lest it diverts you from Allah’s path. Those who stray from Allah’s path will have a painful punishment, for having ignored the Day of Account.”

(And it was said unto him): O David! Lo! We have set thee as a viceroy in the earth; therefor judge aright between mankind, and follow not desire that it beguile thee from the way of Allah. Lo! those who wander from the way of Allah have an awful doom, forasmuch as they forgot the Day of Reckoning.

Ya Davud! muhakkak ki biz seni Arzda bir halîfe kıldık, imdi nâs arasında hakk ile hukmet de (keyfe) hevaya tabi' olma ki seni Allah yolundan sapıtmasın, çünkü Allah yolundan sapanlar hisab gününü unuttukları cihetle kendilerine pek şiddetli bir azâb vardır

O David ! nous t’avons établi notre lieutenant sur la terre prononce donc dans les différends des hommes avec équité, et garde-toi de suivre tes passions : elles te détourneraient du sentier de Dieu. Ceux qui en dévient éprouveront un châtiment terrible, parce qu’ils n’ont point pensé au jour du compte.

O David! wij hebben u aangewezen, als een uitverkoren vorst op de aarde; oordeel dus tusschen de menschen met waarheid, en volg niet uw eigen hartstocht, opdat hij u niet van Gods weg doe afdwalen; want zij die van Gods weg afdwalen, zullen eene ernstige straf ondergaan, dewijl zij den dag van hulp hebben vergeten.

O Davidde! t’abbiamo stabilito in nostra vece sulla terra; pronunzia dunque nelle vertenze degli uomini con equità, e guardati dall’obbedire alle tue passioni: esse ti distorranno dal sentiere di Dio. Coloro che ne deviano subiranno un gastigo terribile, perchè non hanno pensato al giorno del giudizio.
