Quran 34:16

But they turned away, so We unleashed against them the flood of the dam; and We substituted their two gardens with two gardens of bitter fruits, thorny shrubs, and meager harvest.

But they were froward, so We sent on them the flood of 'Iram, and in exchange for their two gardens gave them two gardens bearing bitter fruit, the tamarisk and here and there a lote-tree.

Fakat onlar bakmadılar, biz de üzerlerine arim seylini salıverdik ve o dilber iki Cennetlerini buruk yemişli, ılgınlık, az bir şey de sidirden iki harap Cennete çevirdik.

Mais ils se détournèrent de la vérité. Nous envoyâmes contre eux l’inondation des digues, et nous échangeâmes leurs deux jardins contre deux autres produisant des fruits amers, des tamarins et quelques fruits du petit lotus.

Maar zij wenden zich af van hetgeen wij hun hadden bevolen weshalve wij de overstrooming van de al Arem tegen hen zonden; en wij veranderden hunne twee tuinen voor hen, in twee tuinen die bittere vruchten voortbrachten, tamarissen en eenige kleine vruchten van den lotusboom.

Ma essi si distolsero (dalla verità). Mandammo contr’essi l’inondazione degli argini, e cangiammo i loro due giardini con due altri che producevano frutti amari, tamarindi, ed alcuni frutti del piccolo loto.
