Quran 24:31

And tell the believing women to restrain their looks, and to guard their privates, and not display their beauty except what is apparent thereof, and to draw their coverings over their breasts, and not expose their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons, their sisters’ sons, their women, what their right hands possess, their male attendants who have no sexual desires, or children who are not yet aware of the nakedness of women. And they should not strike their feet to draw attention to their hidden beauty. And repent to Allah, all of you believers, so that you may succeed.

And tell the believing women to lower their gaze and be modest, and to display of their adornment only that which is apparent, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to reveal their adornment save to their own husbands or fathers or husbands' fathers, or their sons or their husbands' sons, or their brothers or their brothers' sons or sisters' sons, or their women, or their slaves, or male attendants who lack vigour, or children who know naught of women's nakedness. And let them not stamp their feet so as to reveal what they hide of their adornment. And turn unto Allah together, O believers, in order that ye may succeed.

Mü'min kadınlara da söyle: gözlerini sakınsınlar, ırzlarını muhafaza etsinler, ziynetlerini açmasınlar, zâhir olanı başka ve baş örtülerini yakalarının üzerine vursunlar, ziynetlerini açmasınlar, ancak kendi kocalarına yâhud kendi babalarına kocalarının babalarına yâhud kendi oğullarına, yâhud kendi biraderlerine, yâhud kendi biraderlerinin oğullarına, yâhud hemşirelerinin oğullarına yâhud kendi kadînlarına yâhud kendi ellerindeki memlûklerine, yâhud ihtiyacı olmıyan erkeklerden uyuntulara, yahud henüz kadınların avretlerine muttali' olmıyan çocuklara, müstesna, gizledikleri ziynetleri bilindiye ayaklarını da vurmasınlar, hepiniz Allaha tevbe edin ey mü'minler ki felâh bulabilesiniz

Commande aux femmes qui croient de baisser leurs yeux et d’observer la continence, de ne laisser voir de leurs ornements que ce qui est à l’extérieur, de couvrir leurs seins d’un voile, de ne faire voir leurs ornements qu’à leurs maris ou à leurs pères, ou aux pères de leurs maris, à leurs fils ou aux fils de leurs maris, à leurs frères ou aux fils de leurs frères, aux fils de leurs sœurs, ou aux femmes de ceux-ci, ou à leurs esclaves ou aux domestiques mâles qui n’ont pas besoin de femmes, ou aux enfants qui ne distinguent pas encore les parties sexuelles d’une femme. Que les femmes n’agitent point les pieds de manière à faire voir leurs ornements cachés. Tournez vos cœurs vers Dieu, afin que vous soyez heureux.

En zeg tot de geloovige vrouwen, dat zij hare oogen nederslaan, en hare zedigheid bewaren, en hare versierselen niet ontdekken, behalve wat daarvan noodzakelijk zichtbaar wordt, en laat haar heure sluiers over haren boezem werpen en hare versierselen niet vertoonen, tenzij aan hare echtgenooten of hare vaders, of de vaders harer echtgenooten, of hare zoons of de zoons harer echtgenooten, of hare broeders, of de zonen harer broeders, of de zonen harer zusters of hunne vrouwen of de slaven welke hare rechterhand zal bezitten, of hare mannelijke dienstboden, die geene vrouwen noodig hebben of aan de kinderen, die de naaktheid der vrouw nog niet kunnen onderscheiden. En laten zij geene beweging met haren voet maken, dat daardoor de versierselen welke zij verbergen, ontdekt worden. En weest allen tot God gewend, o ware geloovigen! opdat hij gelukkig moogt zijn.

Comanda alle donne che credono, d’abbassare gli occhi, e d’esser caste, di non lasciar vedere de’ loro ornamenti, che ciò che è all’esteriore, di cuoprire il lor petto con un velo, di non far vedere i loro ornamenti ch’ai loro mariti, od ai lor padri, o ai padri de’ lor mariti, ai loro figli od ai figli de’ lor mariti, ai lor fratelli od a’ figli de’ loro fratelli, ai figli delle lor sorelle od alle mogli di questi, od ai loro schiavi, od a’ domestici maschi che non han bisogno di donne, od ai fanciulli che non distinguono ancora le parti del sesso femminino. Che le donne non muovano i piedi in guisa da far vedere i loro ornamenti nascosi. Volgete il vostro cuore a Dio, affinchè siate felici.
