Quran 5:82
| EnglishTalal Itani | You will find that the people most hostile towards the believers are the Jews and the polytheists. And you will find that the nearest in affection towards the believers are those who say, “We are Christians.” That is because among them are priests and monks, and they are not arrogant. |
|---|---|
| EnglishPickthall, 1930 | Thou wilt find the most vehement of mankind in hostility to those who believe (to be) the Jews and the idolaters. And thou wilt find the nearest of them in affection to those who believe (to be) those who say: Lo! We are Christians. That is because there are among them priests and monks, and because they are not proud. |
| TurkishElmalılı Hamdi Yazır, 1935 | Nâsın mü'minlere adavetçe en şiddetlisini her halde Yahudîlerle müşrikler bulacaksın, mü'minlere meveddetçe en yakınlarını da her halde "biz Nesârâyız" diyenler bulacaksın, sebebi: çünkü bunların içinde âlim keşişler ve târiki dünya rahibler vardır ve bunlar kibr etmezler. |
