Quran 5:41

O Messenger! Do not let those who are quick to disbelief grieve you—from among those who say with their mouths, “We believe,” but their hearts do not believe; and from among the Jews—listeners to lies, listeners to other people who did not come to you. They distort words from their places, and they say, “If you are given this, accept it; but if you are not given it, beware.” Whomever Allah has willed to divert, you have nothing for him from Allah. Those are they whose hearts Allah does not intend to purify. For them is disgrace in this world, and for them is a great punishment in the Hereafter.

O Messenger! Let not them grieve thee who vie one with another in the race to disbelief, of such as say with their mouths: "We believe," but their hearts believe not, and of the Jews: listeners for the sake of falsehood, listeners on behalf of other folk who come not unto thee, changing words from their context and saying: If this be given unto you, receive it, but if this be not given unto you, then beware! He whom Allah doometh unto sin, thou (by thine efforts) wilt avail him naught against Allah. Those are they for whom the Will of Allah is that He cleanse not their hearts. Theirs in the world will be ignominy, and in the Hereafter an awful doom;

Ey o şanlı Resul, seni mahzun etmesin o küfürde yarış edenler: gerek o ağızlariyle "inandık" deyip de kalbleri mü'min olmayanlardan olsun ve gerek Yahudî olanlardan, onlar yalancılık etmek için dinlerler, sana gelmiyen diğer bir kavim için dinlerler, yerli yerinde söylenen kelimeleri sonradan tahrif ederler, size böyle fetva verilirse tutun verilmezse sakının derler, kim ki Allah onun fitneye düşmesini murad etmiştir sen, ihtimali yok, onun lehine Allah’dan zerrece bir şeye malik olamazsın; onlar öyle kimselerdir ki Allah kalblerini tahtir etmek murad etmemiştir, onların Dünya’da hakları bir zillet, Âhiret’te de hakları azîm bir azabdır.

Ô prophète ! Ne t’afflige pas à cause de ceux qui courent à l’envi les uns des autres vers l’infidélité, ni à cause de ceux dont les bouches disent : Nous croyons, tandis que leurs cœurs ne croient pas ; ni à cause des juifs qui, prêtant avidement l’oreille aux mensonges et aux discours des autres, ne viennent jamais entendre les tiens. Ils déplacent les paroles de l’Écriture et disent ensuite : Si on vous les donne ainsi, prenez-les ; sinon, prenez garde. Qui est-ce qui pourra préserver de l’erreur celui que Dieu voudra égarer ? Ceux dont Dieu n'aura point purifié le cœur seront couverts d’opprobre dans ce monde, et souffriront dans l’autre un châtiment terrible.

O, Profeet! laat u niet door hem bedroeven, die zich naar ongetrouwheid spoeden, of door hen die met hunne monden zeggen: wij gelooven, doch wier harten niet gelooven, of door de Joden, die het oor gretig aan de leugens en aan anderen leenen. Zij verdraaien de woorden der wet van hunne plaatsen en zeggen: indien u dit gebracht wordt, gelooft het, maar indien dit u niet gebracht wordt, hoedt u er dan voor; want wie zou hem van dwaling kunnen redden, dien God op een dwaalweg wil voeren. Zij wier harten het God niet behaagt te zuiveren, zullen schande in deze wereld ondergaan, en strenge straf in de volgende.

O profeta! non ti affliggere per coloro che corrono l’uno dietro l’altro verso l’infedeltà, nè per coloro le di cui bocche pronunziano: Noi crediamo: mentre che i loro cuori non credono; nè per gli ebrei che, ascoltando avidamente le menzogne ed i discorsi degli altri, non vengono mai ad ascoltare! tuoi. Essi alterano le parole della Scrittura, e quindi dicono agli altri: Se e vi legge la Scrittura in tal modo, credetela, altrimenti non vi fidate, potrà preservare dall’errore colui che Dio vuole smarrire? Coloro, a cui Dio non avrà purificato i cuori, saranno ricoperti d’obbrobrio in questo mondo, soffriranno nell’altro un gastigo terribile.
