Quran 5:104

And when it is said to them, “Come to what Allah has revealed, and to the Messenger,” they say, “Sufficient for us is what we found our forefathers upon.” Even if their forefathers knew nothing, and were not guided?

And when it is said unto them: Come unto that which Allah hath revealed and unto the messenger, they say: Enough for us is that wherein we found our fathers. What! Even though their fathers had no knowledge whatsoever, and no guidance?

Bunlara gelin Allah’ın indirdiği ahkâma ve Peygamber’e denildiği zaman da «bize atalarımızı üzerinde bulduğumuz şeyler yeter» diyorlar, ya ataları bir şey bilmez ve doğru yola gitmezler idi ise de mi?

Lorsqu’on leur a dit : Venez adopter ce que Dieu a envoyé d’en haut ; venez à son apôtre, ils ont répondu : La croyance que nous avons trouvée à nos pères nous suffit. Eh quoi ? Quand même leurs pères n’eussent rien su des choses de Dieu, ni reçu aucun guide ?

En toen tot hen gezegd werd: Komt tot hetgeen God heeft geopenbaard en tot den apostel, antwoordden zij: Het geloof dat wij bij onze ouderen vonden, is toereikend voor ons, terwijl hunne vaders niets kenden en niet geleid werden.

Quando si è detto loro: Venite ad abbracciare la religione che Dio ha rivelato al suo apostolo, hanno risposto: La fede che abbiamo trovata ai nostri padri ei basta. Non badano che i loro padri non hanno avuto nè scienza, nè guida, per essere diretti.
