Translations of Quran 5:101
EnglishTalal Itani

O you who believe! Do not ask about things that would trouble you if disclosed to you. But if you were to ask about them while the Quran is being revealed, they will become obvious to you. Allah forgives that. Allah is Forgiving and Clement.

EnglishPickthall, 1930

O ye who believe! Ask not of things which, if they were made unto you, would trouble you; but if ye ask of them when the Qur'an is being revealed, they will be made known unto you. Allah pardoneth this, for Allah is Forgiving, Clement.

TurkishElmalılı Hamdi Yazır, 1935

Ey o bütün iman edenler; öyle şeylerden sual etmeyin ki size açılırsa fenanıza gidecektir, halbuki Kur'an indirilmekte iken sorarsanız onlar size açılır, Allah onlardan şimdilik afiv buyurdu, Allah Gafur, halîmdir.

FrenchKazimirski, 1840

Verses 101–102 are translated together in this edition.

DutchKeyzer, 1860, from Kazimirski's French

Verses 101–102 are translated together in this edition.

ItalianCalza, 1847, from Kazimirski's French

Verses 101–102 are translated together in this edition.
