Quran 17:57

Those they call upon are themselves seeking means of access to their Lord, vying to be nearer, and hoping for His mercy, and fearing His punishment. The punishment of your Lord is to be dreaded.

Those unto whom they cry seek the way of approach to their Lord, which of them shall be the nearest; they hope for His mercy and they fear His doom. Lo! the doom of thy Lord is to be shunned.

Onların yalvarıp durdukları, rablarına hangisi daha yakın diye vesîle ararlar ve rahmetini umarlar azâbından korkarlar, çünkü rabbının azâbı korkunç bulunuyor

Ceux que vous invoquez désirent ardemment parvenir jusqu’à leur Seigneur, c’est à qui sera plus près de lui ; ils attendent sa miséricorde et craignent son châtiment, car le châtiment de ton Seigneur est terrible.

Zij, welke gij aanroept, begeeren zelven nader met hunnen Heer te worden verbonden, trachtende hem zoo nabij mogelijk te komen; zij hopen mede op zijne genade en vreezen zijne straf; want de straf van uw Heer is vreeselijk.

Quei che invocate desiderano ardentemente giungere a Dio e fanno a gara a chi potrà essergli più vicino; attendono la sua misericordia e temono il suo gastigo, poichè il gastigo del Signore è terribile.
