Quran 40:21

Have they not traveled through the earth, and seen the consequences for those before them? They were stronger than them, and they left more impact on earth. But Allah seized them for their sins, and they had no defender against Allah.

Have they not travelled in the land to see the nature of the consequence for those who disbelieved before them? They were mightier than these in power and (in the) traces (which they left behind them) in the earth. Yet Allah seized them for their sins, and they had no protector from Allah.

Yer yüzünde bir gezmediler de mi? Baksalar a kendilerinden evvelkilerin akıbeti nasıl olmuş? Onlar, gerek kuvvetçe ve gerek Arzda asarca kendilerinden daha çetin idiler, öyle iken Allah onları günahlariyle tuttu alıverdi ve kendilerine Allahdan bir koruyucu bulunmadı

N’ont-ils pas voyagé dans ces pays ? n’ont-ils pas vu quelle a été la fin des peuples qui les ont précédés ? Ces peuples valaient mieux qu’eux par leur force et par les monuments qu’ils ont laissés dans ce pays. Mais Dieu les a saisis pour leurs péchés, et nul n’a pu les défendre contre Dieu.

Zijn zij niet over de aarde gegaan, en hebben zij het einde niet gezien van hen, die vóór hen waren? Deze waren machtiger dan zij in sterkte, en lieten aanzienlijker sporen van hunne macht op de aarde; doch God kastijdde hen om hunne zonden, en er was niemand om hen bij God te ondersteunen.

Non hanno essi viaggiato nel paese? Non hanno essi veduto qual fu la fine de’ popoli che li han preceduti? (Que’ popoli) valevano più che essi per la forza e per i monumenti che hanno lasciati in questo paese. Ma Dio li ha colpiti per i loro peccati, e niuno ha potuto difenderli contro Dio.
