Quran 35:37

And they will scream therein, “Our Lord, let us out, and we will act righteously, differently from the way we used to act.” Did We not give you a life long enough, in which anyone who wanted to understand would have understood? And the warner did come to you. So taste. The evildoers will have no helper.

And they cry for help there, (saying): Our Lord! Release us; we will do right, not (the wrong) that we used to do. Did not We grant you a life long enough for him who reflected to reflect therein? And the warner came unto you. Now taste (the flavour of your deeds), for evil-doers have no helper.

Ve onlar orada şöyle feryad ederler: «ya rabbenâ, bizleri çıkar, yapa geldiklerimiz gayri yarar bir amel yapalım» ya size düşünecek olanın düşüneceği kadar ömür vermedik mi ki, hem size Peygamber de geldi, o halde tadın, çünkü zalimleri kurtaracak yoktur

Ils crieront du fond de l’enfer : Seigneur ! fais-nous sortit d’ici ; nous pratiquerons la vertu autrement que nous ne l’avions fait auparavant. — Ne vous avons-nous pas accordé une vie assez longue pour que celui qui devait réfléchir eût le temps de le faire ? Un apôtre fut envoyé vers vous. Subissez donc votre peine ; il n’y a point de protecteur pour les méchants.

En zij zullen overluid in de hel schreeuwen; zeggende: Heer! neem ons van hier, en wij zullen rechtvaardigheid oefenen, en niet hetgeen wij vroeger hebben bedreven. Maar men zal hun antwoorden: Hebben wij uw leven niet lang genoeg doen zijn, opdat hij die kon overdenken, gewaarschuwd zou wezen; en is de prediker niet tot u gekomen? Proeft dus de pijnen der hel. En de onrechtvaardigen zullen geen helper hebben.

Grideranno (dal fondo dell’inferno): Signore! facci sortire di quà; praticheremo la virtù diversamente che non l’avevamo fatto prima. — Non vi abbiamo noi accordata una vita abbastanza lunga, affinchè colui che doveva riflettere avesse il tempo di farlo? Vi fu mandato un apostolo. Subite dunque la vostra pena; non vi sono protettori per i malvagi.
