Quran 2:89

And when a scripture came to them from Allah, confirming what they have—although previously they were seeking victory against those who disbelieved—but when there came to them what they recognized, they disbelieved in it. So Allah’s curse is upon the disbelievers.

And when there cometh unto them a scripture from Allah, confirming that in their possession - though before that they were asking for a signal triumph over those who disbelieved - and when there cometh unto them that which they know (to be the truth) they disbelieve therein. The curse of Allah is on disbelievers.

Quand ils reçurent de la part de Dieu un livre confirmant leurs Écritures, — auparavant ils priaient Dieu de leur accorder la victoire sur les infidèles, — ce livre qui leur avait été prédit, ils ont refusé d’y ajouter foi. Que la malédiction de Dieu atteigne les infidèles !

Toen zij nu de schrift van God ontvingen, waardoor hunne vroegere schriften werden bevestigd, en hoewel zij vroeger om hulp tegen de ongeloovigen hadden gesmeekt, wilden zij toch deze loochenen, hoewel zij die kennen, Gods vloek ruste op deze ongeloovigen.

Dopo che ebbero ricevuto da Dio un libro che confermava le loro Scritture, e che era stato loro predetto, ricusarono di crederlo; prima imploravano l’ajuto di Dio contro gl’increduli. La maledizione di Dio colpisca gl’infedeli.
