Quran 33:15

Although they had made a pledge to Allah, in the past, that they will not turn their backs. A pledge to Allah is a responsibility.

And verily they had already sworn unto Allah that they would not turn their backs (to the foe). An oath to Allah must be answered for.

Halbuki bundan evvel Allaha ahid vermişlerdi: arkalarını dönmiyeceklerdi, Allahın ahdi ise mes'uliyyetlidir, mutlak sorulur

Et cependant ils avaient précédemment promis à Dieu de na point tourner le dos. Or le pacte conclu avec Dieu est une chose dont on demande compte.

Zij hadden vroeger een verbond met God gesloten, dat zij hunne ruggen niet zouden keeren; en de nakoming van hun verbond met God zal hier namaals worden onderzocht.
