Quran 46:26

We had empowered them in the same way as We empowered you; and We gave them the hearing, and the sight, and the minds. But neither their hearing, nor their sight, nor their minds availed them in any way. That is because they disregarded the revelations of Allah; and so they became surrounded by what they used to ridicule.

And verily We had empowered them with that wherewith We have not empowered you, and had assigned them ears and eyes and hearts; but their ears and eyes and hearts availed them naught since they denied the revelations of Allah; and what they used to mock befell them.

Yemîn ile söylerim: doğrusu biz onlara öyle şeyler vermiş idik ki size o kuvvet ve mükneti vermemişizdir, hem kendileri için kulak ve gözler, gönüller yapmış idik ki ne kulakları, ne gözleri, ne gönülleri kendilerine bir faide vermedi, zira Allahın âyetlerini inkâr ediyorlardı, o istihza ettikleri şey de kendilerini kuşatıverdi

Nous les avions placés dans une condition pareille à la vôtre, ô Mecquois ! nous leur avions donné l’ouïe, la vue, et des cœurs faits pour sentir ; mais ni l’ouïe, ni la vue, ni leurs cœurs, ne leur servirent de rien, car ils niaient les signes de Dieu ; le châtiment dont ils se riaient les enveloppa à la fin.

Wij hebben hen in denzelfden, gelukkigen staat als u geplaatst, o bewoners van Mekka! en wij hebben hun ooren, oogen en harten gegeven; maar noch hunne ooren, noch hunne oogen, noch hunne harten, die hun van eenig voordeel waren, toen zij de teekenen van God verwierpen; maar de wraak welke zij hadden bespot, kwam op hen neder.

Li avevamo posti in una condizione simile alla vostra, (o mecchesi!) avevam loro dato l’udito, la vista, e cuori (fatti per sentire); ma nè l’udito, nè la vista, nè i loro cuori, non servirono loro a nulla poichè niegavano i segni di Dio; furono infine oppressi dal gastigo di cui si ridevano.
