Quran 9:46

Had they wanted to mobilize, they would have made preparations for it; but Allah disliked their participation, so He held them back, and it was said, “Stay behind with those who stay behind.”

And if they had wished to go forth they would assuredly have made ready some equipment, but Allah was averse to their being sent forth and held them back and it was said (unto them): Sit ye with the sedentary!

Eğer cihada çıkmayı dileselerdi elbet onun için hazırlık görürlerdi, lâkin davranmalarını Allah istemedi de onları alıkoydu ve oturun oturanlarla beraber denildi

S’ils avaient eu l’intention d’aller à la guerre, ils auraient fait des préparatifs. Mais Dieu était dégoûté de les faire partir ; il les a rendus paresseux, et on leur a dit : Restez avec ceux qui restent.

Indien zij geneigd zouden zijn geweest, met u te vertrekken, zouden zij zekerlijk voor dat doel een voorraad van wapens en benoodigdheden hebben gereed gemaakt; maar God was er afkeerig van, hen te laten vertrekken; hij heeft hen traag gemaakt en hij zeide tot hen: zit stil met hen die stil zitten.

Se avessero avuta intenzione di andare alla guerra, avrebbero fatto dei preparativi. Ma è dispiaciuto a Dio che vi fossero andati; li ha resi pigri, e si è detto loro: Restate con quei che restano.
