Quran 28:58

And how many a city did We destroy for turning unappreciative of its livelihood? Here are their homes, uninhabited after them, except for a few. And We became the Inheritors.

And how many a community have We destroyed that was thankless for its means of livelihood! And yonder are their dwellings, which have not been inhabited after them save a little. And We, even We, were the inheritors.

Bununla beraber biz maışetiyle şımarmış nice memleket helâk ettik, işte meskenleri bir daha arkalarından meskûn olmadı meğer ki pek az, ve hep biz vâris olduk

Combien n’avons-nous pas détruit de cités dont les habitants vivaient dans l’abondance ! Vous voyez leurs habitations ; elles ne sont habitées après eux qu’en petit nombre, et c’est nous qui en avons recueilli l’héritage.

Hoe vele steden hebben wij verwoest, wier bewoners in gemak en overvloed leefden? en hunne woningen zijn na hen niet bewoond, uitgenomen voor een korten tijd, en wij waren de erfgenamen hunner welvaart.

Quante città non abbiam distrutte i cui abitanti vivevano nell’abbondanza? Voi vedete le loro abitazioni; sono quasi deserte, e noi le abbiamo ereditate.
