Quran 5:53

Those who believe will say, “Are these the ones who swore by Allah with their strongest oaths that they are with you?” Their works have failed, so they became losers.

Then will the believers say (unto the people of the Scripture): are these they who swore by Allah their most binding oaths that they were surely with you? Their works have failed, and they have become the losers.

Mü'minler de hâ, derler: Şunlar mı o, sizinle beraber olduklarına olanca yeminleriyle Allah’a yemin edenler?, bütün çabaladıkları boşuna gitti de husran içinde kaldılar.

Les fidèles diront alors : Sont-ce là ceux qui juraient, par des serments solennels, qu’ils étaient de notre parti ? Leurs efforts n’auront abouti à rien, et ils périront.

En zij die gelooven, zullen zeggen: zijn dit de menschen die, met den plechtigsten eed, bij God zwoeren, dat zij zeker tot ons behoorden? Hunne werken zijn ijdel geworden en zij behooren tot de verdoemden.

I fedeli diranno allora: Sono essi che giuravano tanto fervorosamente che erano del nostro partito? I loro sforzi non avranno avuto alcun resultato, e periranno.
