Quran 5:48

And We revealed to you the Book, with truth, confirming the Scripture that preceded it, and superseding it. So judge between them according to what Allah revealed, and do not follow their desires if they differ from the truth that has come to you. For each of you We have assigned a law and a method. Had Allah willed, He could have made you a single nation, but He tests you through what He has given you. So compete in righteousness. To Allah is your return, all of you; then He will inform you of what you had disputed.

And unto thee have We revealed the Scripture with the truth, confirming whatever Scripture was before it, and a watcher over it. So judge between them by that which Allah hath revealed, and follow not their desires away from the truth which hath come unto thee. For each We have appointed a divine law and a traced-out way. Had Allah willed He could have made you one community. But that He may try you by that which He hath given you (He hath made you as ye are). So vie one with another in good works. Unto Allah ye will all return, and He will then inform you of that wherein ye differ.

Sana da bu hak kitabı indirdik, kitap cinsinden önünde olanı musaddık ve üzerine nigâhban hâkim olmak üzere, onun için sen de aralarında Allah’ın indirdiğiyle hükmet, bu sana gelen haktan ayrılıp da onların arzuları arkasından gitme, her biriniz için bir şir'a yaptık, bir de minhac, Allah dilese idi hepinizi bir tek ümmet kılardı, lâkin sizi her birinize verdiği şeyde imtihan edecek, o halde durmayın, hayırlara nelerde ihtilâf ediyoridiğinizi haber verecektir.

Nous t’avons envoyé le Livre contenant la vérité, lequel confirme les Écritures qui l'ont précédé, et les met à l’abri de toute altération. Juge entre eux tous selon les commandements de Dieu, et garde-toi, en suivant leurs désirs, de t’éloigner de ce qui t’a été donné spécialement. Nous avons assigné à chacun de vous un sentier, un chemin frayé. Si Dieu l’avait voulu, il aurait fait de vous tous un seul peuple ; mais il a voulu éprouver votre fidélité à observer ce qu’il vous a donné. Courez à l’envi les uns des autres vers les bonnes actions ; vous retournerez tous a Dieu ; il vous éclaircira lui-même la matière de vos disputes.

Wij hebben u ook het boek, den Koran, gezonden, met waarheid, bevestigende de schrift, welke te voren was geopenbaard en dat haar voor verminking behoedt. Richt dus tusschen hen, overeenkomstig hetgeen God heeft geopenbaard, en volgt hunne begeerten niet, door van de waarheid af te dwalen, die u is geworden. Ieder uwer hebben wij eene wet gegeven en een open weg. En indien het Gode had behaagd, zou hij zeker één volk van u hebben gemaakt; maar hij heeft uwe getrouwheid willen beproeven, nopens de inachtneming van hetgeen hij u heeft gegeven. Streeft er dus naar, elkander in goede daden te overtreffen. Gij zult allen tot God terugkeeren en dan zal hij u datgene verklaren, waarover gij getwist hebt.

Ti abbiamo mandato il libro contenente la verità, il quale conferma le Scritture che l’hanno preceduto, e le pone al sicuro da qualunque alterazione. Giudica tutti secondo ì comandamenti di Dio, e bada, perseguire i loro desideri, di non allontanarti da ciò che ti è stato dato particolarmente. Noi abbiamo assegnato a ciascuno di voi un codice, ed una regola di condotta. Se Dio avesse voluto, avrebbe fatto un solo popolo di voi tutti; ma ha voluto provare la vostra fedeltà nell’osservanza di ciò che vi ha dato. Correte a gara gli uni dietro gli altri incontro alle buone azioni; tornerete tutti a Dio; vi chiarirà egli stesso le vostre quistioni.
