Quran 40:34

Joseph had come to you with clear revelations, but you continued to doubt what he came to you with. Until, when he perished, you said, “Allah will never send a messenger after him.” Thus Allah leads astray the outrageous skeptic.

And verily Joseph brought you of old clear proofs, yet ye ceased not to be in doubt concerning what he brought you till, when he died, ye said: Allah will not send any messenger after him. Thus Allah deceiveth him who is a prodigal, a doubter.

Bundan evvel size beyyinelerle Yusüf gelmişti: o vakıt da onun size getirdiği hakıkatte şekketmiş durmuştunuz, nihayet vefat ettiğinde de bundan sonra Allah aslâ Resul göndermez dediniz! işte müsrif şübheci olanları Allah böyle şaşırtır

Joseph était déjà venu au milieu de vous, accompagné de signes évidents ; mais vous n’avez cessé de douter de leur vérité, jusqu’au moment où il mourut. Vous disiez alors : Dieu ne suscitera plus de prophète après sa mort. C’est ainsi que Dieu égare les transgresseurs et ceux qui doutent.

Jozef kwam, vóór Mozes, met duidelijke teekens tot u, maar gij hieldt niet op te twijfelen omtrent den godsdienst, dien hij u predikte, tot gij zeidet, toen hij stierf: God zal op geenerlei wijze een anderen profeet na hem zenden. Zoo deed God dengeen dwalen, die een zondaar en een twijfelaar is.

Giuseppe era già venuto fra voi accompagnato da segni evidenti; ma voi non avete cessato di dubitare della verità de’ medesimi fino al momento in cui morì. Dicevate allora: Dio non risuscterà più alcun profeta dopo la sua morte. Così Dio smarrisce i trasgressori, e chi dubita.
