Quran 2:69

They said, “Call upon your Lord to show us what her color is.” He said, “He says she is a yellow heifer, bright in color, pleasing to the beholders.”

They said: Pray for us unto thy Lord that He make clear to us of what colour she is. (Moses) answered: Lo! He saith: Verily she is a yellow cow. Bright is her colour, gladdening beholders.

Les Israélites ajoutèrent : Prie ton Seigneur de nous expliquer clairement quelle doit être sa couleur - Dieu veut, leur dit Moïse, qu’elle soit d’un jaune très prononcé, d’une couleur qui réjouisse l’œil de quiconque la verra.

De Israëlieten antwoordden: "Bid uwen Heer, ons duidelijk te verklaren welke kleur zij moet hebben."--"God zeide," antwoordde hij, "zij zijn rood en geel, en aangenaam voor het oog des beschouwers."

Gl’israeliti soggiunsero: Prega il tuo Signore di spiegarci chiaramente di qual colore debbe essere. Dio vuole, disse Mosè, che sia di un giallo molto vivo, di un colore tale che rallegri l’occhio di chi la vegga.
