Quran 29:40

Each We seized by his sin. Against some We sent a sandstorm. Some were struck by the Blast. Some We caused the ground to cave in beneath them. And some We drowned. It was not Allah who wronged them, but it was they who wronged their own selves.

So We took each one in his sin; of them was he on whom We sent a hurricane, and of them was he who was overtaken by the (Awful) Cry, and of them was he whom We caused the earth to swallow, and of them was he whom We drowned. It was not for Allah to wrong them, but they wronged themselves.

Hasılı her birini günahiyle yakaladık, kiminin başına bir taş yağdıran gönderdik, kimini sayha alıverdi, kimini yere geçirdik, kimini de garkettik, Allah onlara zulmetmiyordu ve lâkin kendi nefislerine zulmediyorlardı

Tous furent châtiés de leurs péchés : contre tel d’entre eux nous envoyâmes un vent lançant des pierres ; tel d’entre eux fut saisi soudais par un cri terrible de l’ange Gabriel ; nous ordonnâmes à la terre d’engloutir les uns, et nous noyâmes les autres. Ce n’est pas Dieu qui a voulu les traiter avec iniquité, ce sont eux-mêmes, qui sont iniques envers eux-mêmes.

Hen allen verdelgden wij in hunne zonden. Tegen sommigen hunner zonden wij een hevigen wind, sommigen werden door een vreeselijken orkaan van den hemel verdelgd, sommigen deden wij door de aarde verzwelgen en sommigen van hen verdronken wij. Nimmer was God geneigd hen onrechtvaardig te behandelen, maar zij handelden onrechtvaardig met hunne eigene zielen.

Tutti furono gastigati de’ loro peccati: contro taluno di loro mandammo un vento che scagliava sassi; tal altro fu arrestato improvvisamente da un grido terribile (dell’angelo Gabriele); ordinammo alla terra d’ingojare gli uni, ed annegammo gli altri. Non è Dio ch’ha voluto trattarli con tirannia, essi sono i tiranni di loro medesimi.
